Vitamin C, which not only functions as a powerful antioxidant, but it also helps protect other antioxidants.  It protects brain and spinal cord cellsfrom the damages of free radicals. Citrus Bioflavonoids work in connection with Vitamin C to keep it from breaking down in the body.

Vitamin E. helps prevent lipid oxidation in cell membranes while it works with selenium to produce the important antioxidant enzyme glutathione perioxidase,  which converts harmful hydrogen peroxide into water.

Also included is grape seed extract, which is one of the most potent antioxidants.  It is 20 times more powerful than Vitamin C and as much as 50 times more powerful than vitamin E.  Grape seed extract is a rich source of the antioxidant oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC's).
