Bioflavonoids comprise many nutrients that have antioxidant activity. Citrus bioflavonoids come from the pulp and rind of citrus fruits. They have properties similar to vitamins and they work with Vitamin C. They enhance the actions of each other. Bioflavonoids help reduce inflammation and help fight off the common cold, viruses and allergies.
Antioxidants hunt down free radicals and prevent them from damaging your cells. Free radicals can actually kill off cells. They result from aging and various environmental factors.
Vitabase Citrus Bioflavonoids Complex also includes the important flavonoids Hesperidin and Rutin in order to help strengthen your circulatory system. Rutin is known to assist the capillaries and can reduce the pain from bruises and bumps. Hesperidin blocks the release of histamine and thus helps fight allergies.
